Syunik is the southernmost province of Armenia. Historically, Syunik is supposed to be one of the 15 provinces of the ancient Kingdom of Armenia. At various times, the region of present-day Syunik was also known by other names such as Syunia, Sisakan and Zangezur. However, the present-name of the province is derived from the ancient Armenian Siunia dynasty, who were the Naxarars (governors) of the historic province of Syunik since the 1st century.

Noravank is a 13th-century Armenian monastery, located 122 km from Yerevan in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu River, near the town of Yeghegnadzor, Armenia. The gorge is known for its tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs, directly across from the monastery. The monastery is best known for its two-story Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) church, which grants access to the second floor by way of a narrow stone-made staircase jutting out from the face of building.

The Saghmosavank is a 13th-century Armenian monastic complex located in the village of Saghmosavan in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. Like the Hovhannavank monastery which is five kilometers south, Saghmosavank is situated atop the precipitous gorge carved by the Kasagh river.

Huzanq u Zang (Excitement and Call) is a performative art project, which synthesizes contemporary dance and poetic rhythm. The performance will take place in a public space: in the fountain section of Republic Square’s Metropoliten Station. The performance is a research-based experimental re-reading of 1920s futurist poetry (Kara Darvish, Azat Vshtuni, Gevorg Abov) intervened by Lilith Petrosyan’s poetry and by Hasmik Tangyan’s future forwarded movement’s geography.

Rainy day, Holy Saviour's Church, Vartanants Square, Gyumri
Noratus cemetery also spelled Noraduz, (Armenian: Õ†Õ¸Ö€Õ¡Õ¿Õ¸Ö‚Õ½) is a medieval cemetery with many early khachkars located in the village of Noratus, Gegharkunik Province near Gavar and Lake Sevan, 90 km north of Yerevan. The cemetery has the largest cluster of khachkars in Armenia.
